Well, it was a long ride. The fnal product was the best we have ever done. KHS Musical Theatrics has set a new high for what our audiences expect. I encourage all of you to support other local HS shows – many “Mattress” cast members came to see our show. Coleman opens this weekend.

For Sunday’s rehearsal you all need to bring the various things that Mrs. Wolfersteig in costuming has asked you too. (IE: black pants, character shoes, tights, etc. . . ) it is VERY important.

Mrs. Ruth needs some help with afternoon box office, scheduled to open for business on Monday. The plan is to run the box office every other day, from 2 -4 pm. Ask family members!

OKAY, FRIDAY’S REHEARSAL STARTING AT 1:30 AND HE FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS WILL BE TO ADRESS THOSE SCENES MISSED DUE TO CLOSING/WEATHER. IT IS HUGE THAT ALL CAST ARE THERE….HUGE! GINORMOUS!

The rehearsal for the next two weeks have been posted. It’s crunch time, we need ALL of you there at all of these rehearsals. The next two and a half weeks are going to be tedious and exhausting but I can promise you all it will be worth it.

Lip Sync is going to take place THURSDAY AFTER THE BASKETBALL GAME, starting at about 8pm. SO….We will have a rehearsal Thursday afternoon…PRECISE SCENES WILL BE POSTED LATER TONIGHT…AND FRIDAY, we will modify plan to accomodate the number of absences for All County…STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS.

BECAUSE OF SCHEDULING OF BOYS BB HOME GAME, LIP SYNC WILL LIKELY MOVE TO FRIDAY. THIS MEANS THE FULL CAST RUN WE WERE GOING TO DO ON FRIDAY WOULD BE ON THURSDAY INSTEAD. THAT MEANS ALSO THAT THE ALL-COUNTY CONFLICT WON’T EXIST. BE READY FOR THAT ADJUSTMENT…STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS.

I think we all needed the snow day – SOMEONE really wanted us to have one. Danny and I will devise and post as much of the remaining rehearsals as possible. We are not allowed to have a rehearsal when there is a snow day, BUT principals, keep your phones handy (Todd, Lovey, Beggar and Judge).

CAST: Please ask your parents!!!! We need help running the box office and ticket sales. When tickets go on sale, we will need to have someone every 9th period for about a 2 week chink of time. Tuesday February 7th’s rehearsal is now from 6 to 7:30 NOT 6 to 9.

A note to all cast members:

Mr. Garner and I are sitting down tomorrow to devise a schedule of what the pit is working on when. So starting this week I will be letting the various cast members that pit needs know when they are needed. I will also be posting these pit rehearsals on here (they are nearly always ninth period Monday and Fridays) please try your hardest to make it when you are needed.

We won’t have a rehearsal on Monday the 16th. There is a production meeting at 4 if there are any parents who are looking to help with set work, publicity, program, etc.. if they want to come and can make it.

On Sunday everyone needs to enter the building through the two sides doors of the auditorium (doors are right near the alleyways near the band rooms). They will be propped open and if they are not, knock and someone will open it up for you. ALL building alarms are on when school is not in session so do not try to come in anywhere else. Also, if you have to go anywhere within the building make sure you check with Mr. Avossa, Tori, or myself as to whether it is alarmed or not.

If your conflict has any flexibility and you can make the rehearsal, well that’s great, but not expected. By the end of today, there will be NEW rehearsals posted on the calendar. Please check before you go to bed tonight or first thing in the AM.

In the important documents page, you will see a document called show breakdown which has scenes, musical numbers and who is involved in each scene. As I begin to fill in the rehearsal times and dates, I will do so according to scene numbers. You should print out this document for  reference. If a rehearsal does not include any scenes that you are in , then you don’t need to be at that rehearsal. ADD LOVETT TO 2-2

I’ve had a few people come up to me saying that there are chunks of their script/music missing. Please, over the weekend, go through your music and script and see if there is anything missing or there that is so messed up that you personally cannot fix yourself. Let me now ASAP what exactly it is. If you don’t tell me, it cannot be fixed.

OKAY, all important documents are uploaded and can be accessed. Not sure if the password protection is working or not. Somebody let me know if after clicking cast contact, the window for the password pops up. I will share the password with you all by a more secure method….Maddie, I changed it from the original (Sweeneytodd). I will be adding rehearsals over the next few days, so cha=eck back frequently. I am trying to remember how to make reference recordings and documents available for you. When I do, all show music, ad forms, contracts etc…will be available for you. The cast contact list will be available too, but it will be password protected.

A few things:

1) We will be using Friday evenings and Sundays to rehearse much more often this year. Those two seem to be the best days for most of the cast so keep an eye out for those and please be as flexible as you possibly can.

2) For those of you with commitments on the scheduled rehearsal dates, we understand you have things to do but please be as flexible as possible. Even if that means you leave early or show up late. To make this the best show possible we need everybody there as much as possible.

3) These are not the only rehearsal dates. This is just to get started. Keep checking back frequently so you know you are up to date with everything that is going on.

4) I hope everyone is having a wonderful break and we will see you all on January 3rd!
